Police Chase Results in 5-Car St. Louis Accident

A police chase that led to a 5-car accident injured 11 people Sunday night, including three children. St. Louis police officers were chasing a vehicle commandeered during an earlier carjacking. As officers attempted to pull over the stolen car near North Grand and Cass, the driver sped away, crashing a short time later.

A chain reaction auto accident occurred as four other vehicles tried to avoid the crash site. Nine of the 11 accident victims were transported to the hospital, one in critical condition and three in serious condition. The carjacker was taken into police custody.
