In the St. Louis court, many of out of state residents were able to use joinder to sue Johnson & Johnson. That went directly against Missouri State Law. There were more than 700 lawsuits filed in St. Louis, but only 40 of those individuals were verified Missouri residents. Consequently, only those 40 were allowed to continue.
