Kirkwood Woman Dies in a Fall at a Concert

A woman who originally lived in Kirkwood was injured when she fell from a rock outcropping at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado.  Alicia Brauer, 27, was climbing on the rocks during a concert and fell to her death on June 15, 2012. The St. Louis today published an article on the incident that quoted West Metro Fire spokesman Gary Armstrong as saying it is illegal to climb the rocks but that some people “find them irresistible”.

The Red Rocks Amphitheater is famous for filmed concerts and it is unfortunate that this incident occurred in a venue dedicated to having a good time. There was no word yet of what precautions have been undertaken to stop people from going on the rocks in the future.

The idea that the rocks are seen as irresistible is something that can be repeated about many places where injuries can occur. The owner of a property like this should take careful measures to insure everyone’s safety. If you have been injured on another’s property due to poor upkeep or ineffective warning information you may have the right to compensation for your injuries.  Contact our experienced St. Louis premise liability attorneys today for information on what options are available to someone in your situation.
