Dog at Animal Shelter Bites Man in the Face

When you’re interested in adopting a pet, you’re always encouraged to visit an animal shelter and find a dog or a cat to rescue. Many people find their new best friends this way, and there’s no doubt that the work that’s done in animal shelters is important. However, sometimes incidents do occur, and in this case a dog bite resulted when one couple visited a dog they were interested in adopting.

While the article doesn’t indicate what breed the dog was, it does say that he had been demonstrating significant behavioral issues since he arrived at the shelter. However, it also indicated that he had been showing signs of improvement. Staff members were with the couple when they visited the dog, until the dog urinated on the floor. The dog attacked the male visitor after the staff member went to get a mop to clean up the mess.

When the staff member returned, he found the dog biting the man in the face.

The mop handle was used to strike the dog to get him away from the man and the dog was subsequently quarantined and eventually euthanized.
