Dixon, MO Man Shot During Property Disagreement

Most property disputes are settled civilly, and when they’re not able to be settled, they will often go to court. However, this was not the case for one Dixon man, who was shot in the face over a dispute with an eighteen-year-old man this past week.

According to the article on the KSDK.com website, there were three men participating in the argument. One of them pulled out a gun, and the Dixon man attempted to flee from the scene on a stolen ATV. Unfortunately, he was shot in the face. The man was taken to a local hospital, and was reported to be in critical condition.

The shooter was subsequently arrested.

Even among friends, property disputes can often get quite heated, and things can get out of hand rather quickly. As your St. Louis personal injury attorney, if you are involved in any type of dispute, we advise you to proceed with caution, and leave the scene before it escalates as this situation did. It is much easier to settle such matters in court, rather than to put your own life at risk.

However, if you are injured in a dispute, it’s important to contact a St. Louis personal injury attorney immediately. A qualified attorney will know how to advise you according to your case, and will help you get the compensation you’re entitled to.
